A foreigner may also work in Poland on the basis of a temporary residence and work permit (so-called uniform permit). An application for such permission is submitted to a voivode by a foreigner already legally residing in Poland, if the work is to be performed for more than 3 months.

Temporary residence permit is granted for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of the foreigner’s stay in Poland over 3 months to 3 years, with the possibility of applying for further permits.

The foreigner submits the application in person, not later than on the last day of legal stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland to the voivode competent for the place of stay of the foreigner.
When submitting the application, the foreigner is obliged to submit fingerprints.
